WHAT IS ZUMBA?

A cardio class with a Latin twist! ZUMBA is a fusion of dance and exercise moves done to the rhythm of Latin style music. Its high energy, all over body work out will get your body moving with easy to follow steps! The ZUMBA party atmosphere will leave you uplifted and motivated, and although you will sweat, you won’t even realise you have done an exercise class!

Each ZUMBA routine combines fast and slow moves, (aerobic interval training) to a mixture of Latin and International music tracks. The steps are taken from several different dance styles such as; MERENGUE, SALSA, CUMBIA, REGGAETON, FLAMENCO, SAMBA, BELLY DANCE, TANGO and CHA-CHA-CHA to name a few.
These moves work to tone and sculpt your body, as they target legs, buttocks, arms and abdominals as well as increasing your stamina at the same time. With ZUMBA it’s up to you how hard you work but you can burn several hundred calories during just one class!

DO I HAVE TO BE ABLE TO DANCE?

No! ZUMBA is for everybody, it’s not a pure dance class and you can work at your own pace. Just enjoy the music, let your body move to the rhythm and have fun!
